Is Motorola Droid X a Wonderful Phone?

Please note that you can also get a Droid Incredible review if you’re looking for one. Droid X has a 4.3″ screen with a 854×480 resolution, which is similar to the EVO 4G and makes it the largest smartphone currently available (5″ tall). It is a know fact that the iPhone 4 is actually on top when it comes to pixel density, however Droid X has such a large screen that it compensates a lot for a few missing pixels.

Motorola also went bigger by including an 8-megapixel camera along with dual LED flash that takes fairly clean pictures and also records video in 720p. Motorola included DLNA and also HDMI support for the purpose of streaming media to your HD TV or any other device.

The 1GHz TI OMAP is the processor found inside the Motorola Droid X, a processor so fast that it maximizes the top quality of user experience. The next big thing is the amount of memory inside the phone. The Droid X comes with 24GB of internal storage: 8GB on board and a 16GB removable micro SD card.

Unlike the original Droid, Motorola opted against adding a physical keyboard to the Droid X. It was a sensible option given that even though the mobile phone is huge, it’s fairly thin in comparison to its overall size. An actual keyboard would have likely made a device already tough to stuff into a pocket even more difficult. Still, with the bigger screen, the on-screen keyboard is straightforward to type with and Motorola carefully incorporated a Swype keyboard for individuals who are not pleased with the Droid keyboard supplied.

Another terrific thing that you can do with a Droid X and not with an iPhone is use it as a 3G hotspot to connect your laptop or any other wireless device to the internet. This is very convenient . This is so easy to establish a connection that anybody could do it, and the connection speed is more than decent.

There are so many smartphones that look superior on the cover but don’t deliver when it comes to technical functionnalities. Droid X is a very good all-around phone and you can be sure you won’t be disappointed.
